I purchased an RIA tactical from Turner's last fall. After I bought it I noticed that there was something wrong with the frame. I sent it to RIA and 7 weeks later they shipped a replacement gun to Turner's. After some paperwork error's on their part I finally was able to dros it. 2 days later I noticed that Turner's had not dros'd it as a replacement but as a 1 in 30 dros. I was told to come back to the store and they would re-dros it correctly at their cost. Fast forward 2 weeks; I buy a new Springer and dros it, and now today I get a call from my LGS telling me my dros was being refused by CA DOJ 2 days before I was to pick the Springer up because I was inside my 1 in 30 purchase. It looks like Turner's screwed up the second dros too or never cancelled the first dros. My LGS told me to call CA DOJ and let them know the problem and they might give the dros a go ahead letter, if not then I have to wait the remainder of the 30 days and pay another dros fee! Has anyone had DOJ clear up a mistake like this and if so, how long did it take. I do plan on letting Turner's know!
