Hmmph... one gun I couldn't figure out without help would hands down be a belt-fed (mentioned before). Everything else I am confident I can figure out, even black powder.

AFAIK, the SPAS 12 is not a destructive device under federal law. While they are getting rare because they are unimportable and no longer manufactured, they can be freely transferred in free states.

I have a 1919 so no worries for me on that one I have noticed people struggling with AK mags at the range before. No matter how many times I show my buddy he can't figure it out without dicking around with it for 5 minutes. He even owns an AK!

Slide lock takes a bit to find, but slide release? Same as cocking

about 6 months ago i talked to someone about black powder. It was then that i figured out that i pretty much knew nothing of black powder. So i read a lot about it. then bought one. That lead to having now 4 black powder revolvers and 1 50 cal. musket.

So question how many of you have ever loaded and fired a bp gun. I used to think what just pour powder down the barrel put the bullet in and pull the trigger.

Nope there is a lot more than that. Same time though NOTHING beats the feeling of firing a COLT WALKER. .44 with 56 grains of black powder. The distinct loud booooom and the shock along with the stairs afterwards. toooo coool.

The very first time I handled an AK I knew exactly how to operate and load it. I seriously think it was all the video games that taught me how though.

my buddy got this black powder pistol from a neighbor for free. neither one of us could figure out how to load it. i finally took it to a buddy who is a black powder and old gun afictionado and he just about wet himself. Fun gun to shoot but a pain to load. Come to think of it he never really shoots the thing. Uses it as a prop now. Pretty sad IMO i offered to buy it a few times
