i have goldenrod and two of these

i don't recharge as often since i have a golden rod also. the desiccant does turn pink so i know the goldenrod doesn't get it all. else it's when i open the safe door but i've not really been opening it much recently.

I got on of those $30 Remington-branded mini-dehumidifiers that plugs in to recharge. I think it's made by Eva-dry. It's great. Plug it in the bathroom outlet before bed, put it back before I shower in the morning. I do that once a month or so, never any rust at all, and I'm in the bay area VERY close to the water.

Since the goldenrod is simply a heater, I got the same effect using rope lights mounted inside the safe, a low watt heating element that gives off functional light and as a bonus it makes it classy like a strip club or casino.

I just run the cord through the front, theres plenty of clearance with the door shut.
