People at CM tried to tell me I had to wait 30 days from my last DROS to do a PPT. Of course, being younger, they didn't believe me. I argued until a third employee walked in and corrected them.

Their prices were so ridiculous last time I was there that I choose not to go there.

If you think thats illegal, report them (nothing will likely happen). If you think that makes them a crummy business then don't shop there AND report them.

Just don't hold your breath thinking that the CADOJ is going to come and threaten to shut them down or impose some massive fine or something. How many FFL's have been overcharging for PPT's all these years with barely a mention of one of them getting in trouble.

But how many FFL's have you seen get shutdown over paperwork and records keeping? Let's face it, most FFL's suck at PPT's and it's in some of their best interests to take their time. Some have a very efficient system (even computerized).

Same goes for car washes and sandwiches.
I think you've stated your point over and over. Are you the anti complaint police??

That wouldn't even have been clever 3 months ago.

Luckily I called CM first and I was told that the upcoming Sunday was going to be the last of the PPT for the public and PPT was going to be for members only. Upon picking up my new AK 10 days later, they told me they had changed the members only deal and PPT were going to be by appt only. Pretty stupid if you ask me, but I refuse to go to guns fishing and other stuff with all the issues I have had with them. So for now on, I'll just have to schedule an appt at Center mass. I bet with gun sales right now they were just overwhelmed with PPT as I know my last one took over an hour and a half do to people completing PPT in front of me.
Do they sell guns to the general public, or do they only sell to members?

If the sell guns to the general public, they are REQUIRED to do PPTs of they types of guns the sell to the general public, or they risk losing their FFL.

If they only sell rifles, then they can limit PPTs to rifles only, if they only sell handguns, they can limit PPTs to handguns only, if they sell both they have to do PPTs for both.

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes,
or heard it with your own ears,
don't make it up with your small mind,
or spread it with your big mouth.

+1 on Afana's. I've done 2 PPTs there with no problems at all.

I just did one at Guns and Fishing and was happy they did a ppt for me just walking in the door no phone call just off the st. I cant see why any gun store would not take the time to do this. I will spend money in there store just because they did this and will look at there guns in stock.Guns and Fishing has a lot of guns to look at a little on the high side.
