Anyone else done shooting for now?

I have all I really need. A few thousand rounds of shtf ammo I have had stashed away for the last 20 years, that will never go bad, and a bunch of assorted range and hunting ammo. I have enough hunting ammo to last the rest of my life. The price, the trouble finding ammo, not worth it. I like to shoot and all, but it's just one of many hobbies, and not $500-$1000 a trip fun. If the 5 cent a bullet tax, ammo licence, or any of that pass, I'm done for good until I move out of California. I pay enough tax as it is.

I'm with you. My other hobbies include internal combustion. California gasoline is no longer gasoline but some amalgamation of corn piss and hydrocarbons. It's not working well in my jeep anymore. I'm paying on average 20$ more a week as my mileage has dropped 10%.

Getting really tired of paying so much to live in a state that gives nothing back; except to the people without jobs, on welfare.

I'll shoot 22LR, air soft, and my BB gun until things get better.

Going out this weekend. Haven't been to the range in well over a year. Got plenty of .22 for plinking.

Give reloading some thought and you can shoot more and won't be handicapped by current affairs. Very modest investment to begin with but like your guns it has a life of its own and will grow larger over the years.

I have started reloading more and definitely have been shooting less due to ammo cost and availability. I have been shooting more .22

I have a pellet and BB gun to practice with for the time being.

Never done shooting! Did have a weird experience, maybe just paranoia moment the other day. It seemed to me that a car that was posted outside the range followed me to a sandwich shop then to Safeway before I went around the block several times and lost sight of it.

It was dark but the headlights were very distinctive. I talked to a few people there and everyone complained about being out of ammo so I don't doubt that there are some crooks out there looking for an opportunity to make an easy score.

Times like this is when the Sig 522 swat comes in handy. I can shoot it all day for less than $50 in ammo.

Oak Tree has also been good at keeping a supply of 45 ACP reloads so I still get the 45 fix taken care of without hurting the home stash.

Haven't shot my AR's since October! Thinking about getting my paintball gun back up and running, has the panic hit paintballs and CO2?

Gonna shoot my 9mm handguns and 22 rifle for now. My LGS still has enough of both at a descent price to go to the range with. Not going to dig into my stash though.

I have thousands of rounds waiting to be shot. I just don't have time these days to go to the range anymore.

I'm new to this scene, the moment I bought my first handgun and a membership to the range for the wife and I, NO MORE AMMO. I could buy it at the range but I would need to take out a personal loan.
