Walmart Ammo Restocking Window Times

So I talked to the young ammo guy at my local Walmart (young guys are always the cool ones) and I asked.......

Me: "would you know when ammo is restocked"

Him: "usually every two weeks on a Tuesday between 9pm - 12:30 am"

With that large window. Would anyone care to share there best time frame of success?

I'm gonna try tonight.

I got a completely different story. The stock girl at the Walmart closest to me told me "we get stuff in every night. We have no idea what is actually coming until it arrives." I have no idea what to think.

Last week the Wal*Mart closest to me got a re-stock somewhere between Monday-Tuesday. I figured that would carry over to this week, but when I went in just for the hell of it on Sunday morning I could tell they had just gotten yet another restock. I think it's sporadic, and they typically don't know what they're getting. Or.........they could be telling us that just to screw with us, lol. The thing to do would be to get in tight with the managers and have them let you know what's coming-I'd imagine that they might be able to tell what's coming in or not...

delete your thread or you will be complaining in the next coming weeks why there is no ammo, even during shipment times.

Years ago I worked at k-mart in sporting goods. We had no idea when specific items would come in. When we put the last of the item on a shelf we put a red dot sticker on the price. A lady with a scanner was supposed to scan any tag with a red dot to reorder. Not all employees were using the red dots and the scanner lady may miss an item. So we really had no idea. However, I learned when confronted if I said "I don't know" the customer would likely get all pissy. So most of us would make stuff up. "Oh yea, we'll be getting those on (insert your day off)!"

That's not to say Walmart employees are making stuff up but I wouldn't bank on what they say concerning inventory.

The guy at the Glendora WM through a fit when I asked him about ammo shipments. He first said they were totally unpredictable. I asked if he thought they got at least 1 or 2 a week. he than said 'you're trying too get me to tell you. If I tell you, than I got 15 guys breathing down my neck when it comes in, no way'. He than suggested I call the store everyday.
I thanked him and left. Personally, i think he was wound too tight too be working around ammo.

this is what i was told at brea and chino/chino hills wal-mart.

trucks come in, and whatever is on the truck is what they get. and trucks come in every night.

It varies by store. My local Walmart gets there truck on Tues and Sat. This is what i found tonight at 600pm (also had 7.63 remington and tula) The 9mm rem 100ct box for $23 was sold out already. they also had got in .40 250ct and 12gauge slugs

Walmarts get multiple trucks per day and no one knows what's on them until they unload it.

Lets face it, most Walmart employees couldn't care less our ammo needs. If they sell a pallet of ammo or leave it all in the back, they get paid the same.

When ever the truck driver backs up to the dock. Seek out the Walmart truck at the 76 truck stop and ask him.

As one of those guys that calls/visits Wal-marts daily in search of ammo, I can tell it's whenever the truck shows up. I've seen ammo come in all days of the week.
