I am a freshman at CSUN (California State University of Northridge) and I have noticed this semester many of my professors and fellow students bad mouthing the Second Ammendment. Its is almost like the liberal professors are trying to brainwash my fellow students. I have managed to change two of my fellow students at csun views on firearms by taking them shooting, but it seems like I am fighting a losing battle. Can any other college students relate to this?

Universities are breeding grounds for collectivist indoctrination. I live in a state so conservative most limousine liberals cant even find it on a map, and yet even here the Socialists call the shots.I am a freshman at CSUN (California State University of Northridge) and I have noticed this semester many of my professors and fellow students bad mouthing the Second Ammendment. IMO, don't take a pro-2nd Amendment position in a public way. That's a great way to end up on some professor's sh-t list, and the people you piss off tend to be the ones whose help you need to eventually graduate.
Rather, make reasoned arguments for the RKBA in your term papers and homework articles. A professor can rebuke you in class , but he/she can't rebuke a legitimate academic assignment which they're ethically and legally bound to fairly read and grade.
Further, reach out to your fellow students in private, away from the crowds and for the love of all things beautiful stay the bloody hell away from Facebook. You won't change any minds in that medium.
Lastly, learn when to let go. Remember that most of your peers 3 years ago were living under Ma and Pa's roof, and some of them mentally haven't left yet. In college feel good collectivist BS sounds good to a lot of students because they haven't lived enough to know any better. Sometimes you just have to hold your tongue and let time do the talking.
Hope that helps. The more prohibitions you have, the less virtuous people will be.
The more subsidies you have, the less self reliant people will be.

Change you major to Criminal Justice. Plenty of gun guys in those classes and the professors are mostly ex-LEO's. I used to shoot with one of my professors all of the time.Comment

I was actually thinking about changing my major to Criminal Justice, but I talked to a few LEO's who said my major Business Finance would be just fine for applying for a LEO job, plus with business finance I can also look for a good job in the private sector.Want to Buy: Ruger PC9 Magazine Buttstock PouchComment

CSUN is a pretty liberal campus, but if it makes you feel any better, I know at least a few of your classmates are very much pro-2A, so you may not be quiet as outnumbered as you think. In fact, I just took one to the range yesterday
But seriously, I'd tend to ignore the naysayers in the interest of your education. It may be harder to stomach, but maybe you can do something with that degree to shove it back in their faces years from now. Professors are people, and if you vocally disagree with them they can make life hard. They shouldn't, in all fairness, but they can. If you absolutely can't stand it, look for some of the clubs on campus that might align more with your ideals. Arts College though it may be, I'm sure there's political clubs of multiple sorts about. At least that will get you around like minded students.
EDIT: You must be my crazy cousin...

It absolutely depends on where you go.
At my alma mater, there were two M14s in every room.

I go to CSUN also and I'm a political science major...I deal with Libs everyday. I just wait in the tall grass like a lion and wait for someone to blurt out some false statement about guns, teachers included. When this happens I make them look very foolish. I try and wear "come and take it" shirts w/ rifles on them so people get the point.Comment

Funny thing is I did the opposite. Received my BS in CJ from CSUS and ended up being a financial planner. It was a fun major because I was around guns all of the time. US Marshals, CA DOJ, and worked at a local shooting range. It was like an alcoholic training to be a bartender. Guns at cost and got to shoot every day, as long as I could reload fast enough. Agents go have a training day I'd get to go shoot on the governments dime using their M4's and MP5's. You won't find many anti's in the major, but you usually don't find a lot of hot chicks either. Depends what your looking for

Yeah I would never bring firearms and/ or ammo onto a school zone, I dont want to lose my gun rights. And those t shirts are awesome I may have to order a few when I get paid. I saw Alex Jones on Piers Morgan and he is a boss.Want to Buy: Ruger PC9 Magazine Buttstock PouchComment
