    it's more of a "we did something" feel good process

    there will be no direct link between less crime and gun registration, the only fallout will be governmental knowledge of who has what

      There is no logic, no statistics that proves registration does anything to violent crime rates. It is simply so the State can round them all up whenever the notion strikes them.

        It reduces gun violence because it makes the criminals, people prohibited from owning firearms, and mentally ill in our society feel bad. They feel guilty and that will compel them to register their firearms. The result of this will make us all safer. This should make sense and sound very logical if you have a indoctrinated mental disorder.
