Only fedex requires a signature in my area. UPS just drops it off an leaves.... Everytime.

I have my ammo sent to a UPS store, where it's signed for and will be kept till i pick it up.They have some of mine there now, it was left by ups on monday.I will probably pick it up on Friday.

i never use UPS anymore if possible, they haven't rang my doorbell in years and its a bunch of bull****! and then they are so stupid that half the time the leave it sitting at a side door of an enclosed porch attached to the house. the door is something my father cut down just to have access on the front side, its like 20 inches wide. very narrow and anyone can tell its not a real door.

i dont know why UPS is getting so lazy in their deliveries but its crazy negligent!

Did an overnight FED EX letter with a $100 gift card to Mimi's Cafe for my daughters birthday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sent it from Rancho Cucamonga Fed Ex location. Online, the Fed Ex letter was taken in, shipped but never arrived in Tulsa.

After two days I went over to Mimi's Cafe with the receipt and they pulled up on their computer that the Gift Card was used at a Mimi's up in the SFV about 80 miles away for dinner.

Filed a claim with FED EX. They took 3 months to investigate; they looked at the CD camera video from the shipping location and found that the counter clerk had opened my letter and palmed the gift card into his pocket.

Finally got a refund from FED EX. Took a long time however.

Write certified letters to the head of the local UPS shipping center if you have problems. Letters get put in peoples personnel files and have consequences; calls leave no record and e-mails disappear with the click of a mouse; certified letters don't. Not saying you shouldn't also call immediately, but document the problem with a written letter.

Man you guys that live in the places besides the retarded cities that have ordinances against mail order ammo have it good. Least you can mail order ammo if your local shops run out and have more options in getting ammo other then being forced to drive further out. Sucks hearing the original TS post about UPS giving away his ammo. My local UPS guy won't even bring out the deliveries that requires signatures unless he can carry it in one hand. Probably cause he doesn't want to lift. But so far the UPS guys in my area never leave it with people who aren't from that residence. They usually try for 2 days then just leave a note asking you to pick up the delivery from their warehouse if you aren't available for a signed pickup.

The DHL guy however seems to not do this. Once I signed for a neighbors package from them and I was just walking to my mailbox when they flagged me down.

I once saw a UPS man. It was like a cheetah running back to a loud, brown hole that belched more diesel smoke than the tractor next to it. Problem was his clutch went out on him down the street and he sat all day waiting for a tow.

UPS routinely delivers my packages to the wrong house, 985 instead of 958.

Also, Fedex left me two CMP Garands on my doorstep, I stayed home for the whole day wondering when they would show up, and then found them sitting around outside!

I don't trust certified mail anymore.

I sent a certified letter to Irvine back in November.

I sent it with delivery verification.

I never got the green card back, and the letter was never returned to sender.

UPS has some shifty drivers. Enough to avoid them.
I ship rifles to different states for re-barreling. I use USPS signed certified receipt.Its a special trip downtown and it costs more but they check I.D. and have me sign for it.
UPS would just leave it on the porch.
