Ya I just said that. It was part of what you quoted dieselpower.

Id still rather the 7.62x39. I weigh 230, I can carry plenty of ammo.

      The fun of supply/demand.

The distributors are the ones that seem to be gouging, not the manufacturers. I could be wrong but I'm going by press releases I've seen like the one from Magpul about their magazines (I'm not in the firearms business so that's a consumer observation).

If there's no federal bending-over of gun owners, then once the backorders have cleared I expect it would eventually level out.

The problem is that with the insane backorders, that's a lot of catching up for manufacturers who I'm sure are kicked into overtime to meet demand.

      Just my .02

once the frantic buying has leveled, I can see them getting within 10-15% of where they were before....the retailers are the ones with the huge mark ups right now, not the manufacturers...i'm willing to wait it out before i decide to grab one...if they get banned, i would have no choice but to continue shooting what i already have

i would never pay $2000.00 for one...don't desire it that badly

            Welcome to the new normal.

No, I don't believe prices will come down in the next 24 months.
