Wow, Quite a few of my guns have letters in the serial. That is just ridiculous.

All my Glocks have letters in the SN. Should I dispose of them at the next gun buy back?

I have seven, so I could get $350 in Albertson's gift cards.

      Is that a good deal?

Yes, i can give you $360 in monopoly money .
That poway store is a joke. I asked how much to transfer if I was to order online, they said $75 plus DROS. Errr wtf?. I came there with 2 other buddies and the guy at the counter ask if we needed help seems like he thinks we're trying to steal his cheap junk. So we left, didn't buy crap nor coming back.
I'll let the market take care of that shop.

75 + dros is actually pretty low compared to what a lot of shops charge.

They spread FUD. Or at least tried to with me. I drive by there quite often, but they will never get my business again.

I did a PPT there and the guy was kind of an anus. I don't plan on going back.

I've done 4-5 PPT's there. They were nice but never seemed super friendly.
On the last PPT I noticed an AR pistol and went back and bought it. 10 days later I went to pay it off and pick it up and once the receipt was printed he said "here ya go" and went on about his business. No thank you, nada. I waited until he was finished with the next customer and asked if I could put $50 down on a $350 gun and pay it off in 10 days. "nope, has to be half".

                Cya.

Never had any problems there, staff always very friendly, no gun store attitude. I've DROS:d about 3 guns there.

Lately all gun stores have a tense atmosphere because of the times. They have nothing to sell and little hope to offer. The smaller shops stand a real chance of going under since they survive on steady cash flow during normal times and are ill prepared for a big crunch such as this. Places like Turners and Midway can deal with it since they order huge quantities and sell other stuff besides guns.

Poway Weapons is probably the best place in town to get good self defense ammo like Winchester Ranger and Federal HST.

Naw man thats over-charged. I went to DAS instead. Total fees was 35. The guys are really nice and told me everything about the gun, etc. Didnt want to sell me stuff just offered good, friendly service. Wiser owl is another good shop from what I've read about. Planning on going there next time.
With this economy, good luck coping attitude towards your customers. I wasn't sure if it was because we looked young or ethnic, but Poway was not looking to make business. I'll vote with my wallet .

And I'm guessing they told you to come in here to try and counter the bad pr they've been getting, or the story is fabricated and you're one of them. Given that your hitting every pwg thread, I'm leaning towards the latter.

I told a friend that my CZ had finally arrived at PW&G and that I was going to look at it before completing the purchase. As the supply of new CZ handguns has dried up in the US, I was concerned that this was a used gun being sold as new. My friend sent me a link about an unhappy PW&G customer, which I read in detail after I got back from looking at the pistol. In that thread, there were links to other threads, so I posted links to those threads also.

I hardly ever bother to post good reviews on Amazon or anywhere else, but considering how you guys were running with the negative story, I thought I would offer my experience as a counterpoint.

A cellphone pic of the receipt from yesterday's CZ purchase is attached. If that is not sufficient to convince you that my story is real and that my affiliation with PW&G starts and ends with me being a customer, then I am not sure what will.

I have blanked out my name and address in the receipt for obvious reasons - otherwise I might as well post pictures of my safe contents and the combination. The order number contains my last name, so I blanked that out too.

The place isn't all bad, I've had nothing but good experiences with the younger guy that works there. It's the other guy that generally seems to cause the issues, at least from what I've seen and experienced in there and read on here.
