Yep same with guns. Only shipping centers will allow them or drivers on routes. UPS stores will not take ammo or guns. They gave me crap about a parts kit...

I ship out of the Chico UPS center and Have no issues at all.

I plan on posting up some ammo for sale in the near future and normally when I ship stuff, I like to print out my prepaid labels through paypal or UPS online.....I've never shipped ammo before. Can I still print out a prepaid label, slap it on the box, write ORM-D on the box, and drop it off at a UPS hub? There's no "added on" fees to ship ammo? (ormd fee, sig required, etc).

Bear in mind that it is a minimum age to purchase ammunition - 18 for long gun and 21 for hand gun I believe. To protect yourself, you should verify that (photo of drivers license for example).

You can also specify an adult signature for delivery though that might annoy your purchaser.

I just shipped $600 dollars of ammo. Best method go to UPS Hub, have your ORM-D stickers [or print out your own ORM-D tag (via google ORM-D, copy, print)] put on the box. Box can only weigh i think it was 62lbs max. You do not need a signature at receiving end if you dont want or vise versa if you do want. You will need to show ID. No added fees. You will probably want to insure package. first $100 free, $0.90 per $100 there after. Thats it! EASY!!! Took me less than 20 min for the whole thing!

so you actually need an ORM-D sticker or can i just write it out really BIG with a thick sharpie on the box?

I read the guidelines once and iirc it says "must be clearly marked" or something like that. So yes writing on side is good enough.

If I can order gun powder sent air I am sure you can ship ammo air. However probably extremely expensive, I just wanted to make that note.
