Mods are pretty good about adhering to rules but the way they are being painted seem extreme. Plenty of people ask publicly for prices and photos when not posted without being banned. This story sounds bogus and a trap to get members in good standing to crap on mods.

Particularly when the guy with the banhammer has taken the time to post a warning right there in the thread!

Hell I was banned from the market place for selling home made targets. They said I was running a business. That was bull****, I was selling nice targets for $50 a piece, which was barely over cost. They just did not want me undercutting their paid vendors. So just start a new account in order to sell, that is what most people do.

The warning was rather clear and 'asked for pictures is a bit more benign sounding then this:

Some people forget, nothing is ever really deleted, even edits are saved and viewable by the Admins.

For those saying that they see stuff that gets left alone, remember there are only 17 Mods for the entire site and they are volunteers with jobs, families and lives of their own that I insist take precedence over CGN.
We don't see everything, it's not possible. That's why we rely on the member to use the report post function.

That said, for the most part the one that bans people from the Marketplace is me and yes several people have sent PMs saying 'I get it, I'm sorry'.

That's pretty much all I need to remove the ban but of late I've been spending all of my time on the forum working with GeoVario to fix the server issues so lifting Marketplace bans has been been bumped several steps below making the site run and usable.

If you've been banned from the Marketplace recently for thread crapping post here and I'll look in to it. If it was a one time thing I'm pretty sure I got your attention and made my point so we can lift it.
If it was a pattern and you've got a history of thread crapping that another matter.

Look, I know the influx on new members is a pain in some ways but remember that some of those 'newbies' are going to stick around and become active members. Some won't but that the way life works.
I don't like the raise in prices either, it's more panicky then anything else, but it's also happening in retail so it's not isolated to one or two sellers.
The bottom line is that whatever they are selling is their property and we can not tell them what they should value it at anymore then we could tell you what you should sell your car or house for.
The market will correct itself, if there is a buyer willing to pay the price then that is the value of it, if not the seller will either lower his/her price or not sell it.

One thing I've noticed in threads with in my opinion excessively high prices, there's a lot more 'BTT' posts then there are 'I'll take it' posts.
