Sometimes examples need to be made by certain people and you guys were it. Serves you right for clogging up the sale threads by thread crapping and bumping it that way.

I don't post much and i know this is slightly off topic, but the BS with the market place is getting out of hand! Tons of new members that have joined here just to post in the market place... to capitalize and make money, and once they do they will disappear. It would be awesome if there was a 10 or 20 post minimum before people could post in there. I have no idea if the post you responded to was a n00b but that's all I've seen lately, and quite frankly it's driving me crazy!

a 10, 20, even 50 post minimum would just make people spend a few minutes posting quick replies to threads in random forum sections with stuff like "Cool man", "Nice rifle", "I like your build", and other random nonsense without really contributing anything, and then posting their marketplace thread with the rest of the forum being cluttered up with garbage.

                    Um... there isn't?

EVERY forum I frequent requires a minimum post count before selling.

I would NOT buy from a new member anyways. Call it a lack of trust.

That's funny. If I do recall there's even a special sticky pertaining to thread crapping/gouging/etc etc.
Yet people still complain when they don't follow the rules and get punished?

Every time I have drafted one of those, I can't post it.

I know what you mean, BUT I have sold two guns (1.5 hour one way trip to the FFL) to new members, one of whom still has not posted. It is scary, but if you can get a cell number and address, it can work out.

The rules are very clear about thread crapping and I agree with the idea behind it... Imagine the troll fest the marketplace would be if people could publically harass the seller - especially in the market's current state!

However the OP (supposedly) got banned for just asking for a picture. When buying anything online - be it art, guns, books, cars, electronics, etc. - it seems beyond fair to ask for pictures first. If his story is true, then it sounds like the mods may be verging on over zealous...
"The fundamental point [against gun control] is this: Do you take away the liberties of all, do you assume the guilt of all, because some people cannot handle that freedom properly? Imagine if you did, how many other freedoms would have to be taken away." - Peter Hitchens.

So you are writing to asked to be banned from the site? I can help. Go to your user cp and change your email address to one that doesn't exist and then change your password to a random series of numbers and letters. Log out.
