    MAS 49/56 Legal Configuration Question

Can a MAS 49/56 that has all it's original configuration, Detachable Mag, Grenade Launcher apparatus, & Flash Hider, be modified and made legal by removing the Grenade Launcher and Flash Hider? I don't see the rifle specifically named in the Roberti-Roos Act but obviously, it meets the criteria of PC12276.1 (a).

Does anyone have any experience with making successful modifications that will bring this rifle into compliance? Flash hider replacements or ???

    TIA

Look at the tyranny of party -- at what is called party allegiance, party loyalty -- a snare invented by designing men for selfish purposes -- and which turns voters into chattles, slaves, rabbits, and all the while their masters, and they themselves are shouting rubbish about liberty, independence, freedom of opinion, freedom of speech, honestly unconscious of the fantastic contradiction... I have approached a couple of MAS 49/56 sellers on GB about working with me to eliminate the GL...none seemed interested.

Both the flash hider/GL and grenade launcher range ring need to come off. I removed the ring from mine and had the FH exterior sleeved to increase the diameter so it could no longer be considered a GL. I also removed the useless GL sights. Getting rid of the range ring helped the accuracy of the rifle.

          Nice rifle

          Question:

Do you get to keep the GL in case you leave the state or is that considered constructive possession?
