yeah, I kinda thought you were BSing more about the "do you like Glock 20 or 21?" not the "should OLL be legal?" subject.

I don't like ARs. They bore me. They are uninteresting. I like steel, wood, bolt actions. Something with soul. I had to get that off my chest. Come on people, I can't be the only one!
Naw dont feel too much like a freak....as much as i like AR's im a bigger fan of the FAL and M1A. I grew up on bolt actions (mostly Mausers) so i can see where you come from...

but seriously...you dont like AR's??? besides not haveing a "soul" whats so bad?

        Try an AK. Character aplenty!

What I really, really like about ARs is the tinker-toy aspect - you can switch around just about every component on them easily in the garage, and there's such a huge variety of options. They make great hacker guns, and are very flexible, if a bit confounding at times.

What I don't like about them is the ergonomics. The whole butt on top of the shoulder/high cheek weld, the ultra high sight over bore design... I was raised with old-school wood and steel long guns, and ARs just don't feel natural to me.

There's also the flimsy aspect and poor precision of the stock ones. Yes, I know you can build a sturdy, tight, solid AR by bolting a bunch of $200 components onto it, but I'm just not into spending a whole lot of money on each gun, and for the $700 starting point, you really don't get a lot of precision and finesse for your money.

That's just me. YMMV, as always.

Blasphemy! We're going to have to do an exARcism right now!

I love my AR, but there's something about pressing your cheek against a winter birch stock and catching the faint scent of cosmo.

This is really all the antis have? I suppose they expected the second amendment to list full names and social security numbers!

That's cool I respect your opinion. I've got 2 AK's here night now and they just don't do it for me. Sure they're a work horse but I honestly don't see the fun in them.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.
