Original gun box's, do you keep them?

So like the header says, do you keep the boxes your new firearms came in? My uncle is the person that taught me everything I know about firearms, and he always taught me to keep everything that came with the gun for future resale puurposes. To date I have always done so. The only problem is that they are really starting to pile up.

So does anyone have any pro's or con's on this subject?

    thanks!

Absolutely I do...and keep everyone that came with it from the factory also.

Cons....it is taking up valuable space on the shelves inside the only two small closets in my apt lol

And see thats where I was at. Its about the space. I originally just stacked them all on top of my safe in the garage until a cop friend of ine was over and brought to my attention that anyone who sees my safe now knows at least some of whats in there. So I moved them again.

Just look at those boxes as $20 bills.......and store them carefully.

Nope. No plans to sell or otherwise get rid of most of what I own.

Yes I keep them, I don't see any reason to throw them away.

Plastic ones get put in the garage, cardboard gets recycled.

I keep all of my boxes for whatever guns they came with for 2 reasons. 1 resale (if I ever do). 2 shipping, if you need to ship the gun back to the MFG. it makes it easier and safer to ship. The best way to store your boxes is to box them up in a bigger moving box with a nondescript title like "plastic storage boxes".

That is a good idea. I keep all of mine too even though I never plan on parting ways with any of them.

I keep the ones from the firearms I've bought new in California. The firearms I brought from Illinois didn't have boxes. They were consignment.

I keep them in case I have to ship the gun back to the manufacturer.
