I use a stack on also with no issues I use Frog lube not sure if that has a bearing on the humidity issue. I ve heard of people using uncooked rice, and if the SHTF you can always eat it.

for about $20, you can get a 30lbs of jasmine rice, hahahah. rice is a natural desiccant. i put some rice(uncooked) in a breathable bag, toss it in the safe, and replace every 2 months.

For $25 you can get a nice Goldenrod, which should do the trick.

Get them out of the Pelican Case. That foam will hold moisture.

Goldenrod should do the trick, I live down by the airport and I don't get much rust, it all depends on how much I open the safe!

I would get a Golden Rod, but my safe is already bolted to the floor and getting access to the back would be a major pain at this point.

Add a Golden Rod and keep using the dessicant. The small hole for the Golden Rod cord is not going to significantly compromise a stack-on level of safe.

If it's a Stack-On fire rated safe, drilling any excess holes will void the warranty against damage from fire

I have a golden rod and have never had issues. I live in a small apartment and my safe is in the bedroom about 15 feet away from the shower.

So, can you just use one of those humidity gauges to see if you even need to address excessive moisture? As a cheap solution/aid to humidity issues would some of us be able to just leave the safes open when we're home?

Each of my guns has its own Bore Stores and I have a Golden Rod in the safe.
