    Brightspot pawn question

I was just looking at there site and I went to the "guns at brightspot" tab, it looks like it takes me to another site that has a list of guns. Are these firearms that can be ordered through brightspot? I am looking into buying a Springfield 1911 and was wondering if it is something I can order through them. I haven't had a chance to go down to the shop and talk to anyone yet.

    Thanks

ask for chris but I know he is on vacation for ten days. the guy there could still help you out. They have very competitive prices and if you find a gun you want from another store, they will match it and even beat if.

They send you to a modified distributers link (I think it's David's). Basically, most major manufacturers don't send firearms directly to every single FFL in the country. They send them to a distribution agency/center/armorer/etc that then rations them out, with a little overhead for themselves, to the dealers. It's like the dealer's dealer. There are only a handful of these warehouses in the country. Many of them offer a somewhat up to date view of their inventory and the current prices of said firearm, along with the dealer's take for most of their registered dealers. So you can go to a place like Galleryofguns.com and browse through, find a gun you like with a price you like, then find a local FFL through them that can take it, and then it gives you a rough estimate on the total price it will cost after the dealer's take (minus state transfer fees of course).

Well Brightspot uses their distributer's modified search function that returns only those guns that they will send to the dealer. So instead you are searching in reverse by finding the FFL first and then the gun. Basically, that search feature is just a list of all the guns they currently stock that they can send to Brightspot on request. You then go to Brightspot to complete the transfer.

That list is in no way a complete list of all the firearms BSP can get for you, nor is it a list of firearms they currently have. It's like going to a Sear's hardware store and browsing their catalog, ordering it, then returning two weeks later to pick it up.

Bright Spot's in-store selection is moderate. They are perhaps the nicest FFL in the greater LA area. ALWAYS was willing to help and TRUE gun enthusiast.

        Chris is the best.

Chris is like the Wiki of gun knowledge in the shop. You can go in and do business like usuall, but if you're like me and want to shoot the ****, find out what's new, what odd/cool toys they have/had, etc then you really need to talk to Chris. I was happy to hear he was going on a vacation. He's one of those guys who works too much. Not sure if his girlfriend working there now will help with that (I am hoping it will), but in either regard, he needed a vacation.

His days off also changed recently. I believe he has Wednesdays off now. Or maybe he had Wednesdays off and now it's Mondays. I can never remember until I show up and he's not there.

+1 it's not AT ALL about him being the most pleasant, he's just the one with the wikipedia-sized knowledge, and he's not afraid to use it.

                            Everyone there is pleasant, extremely.

Just don't think you can get in and out of there, though. They're extremely busy and do business on tiny margins, so they have to do their best to accommodate everyone.
