S&W Shield is a great gun. I highly recommend it.

I vote for CW9---have two (for the wife and I)---triggers on mine are very smooth, no gritty at all. Yeah, trigger pull is long, but you get used to lt. SA EMP is a really neat pistol at three times the price and about 10 oz heavier---the CW9 is so light you often forget its there!

A Kahr PM9 is my daily front pocket carry gun. Accurate, reliable and easy to shoot well.

Thanks for the Galloway tip. We have been looking at an LC-9 for the wife's EDC. This just sold it for us, her main issue was the long trigger as well.

I didnt like the LC9- trigger was terrible.

The CW9 is nice, but I simply loooove the PM9.

**Plus, as I recently learned... the PM9 and CW9 will use standard 1911 IWB holsters! So if youve already got a 1911 compact and use a IWB like a tuk or crossbreed, the Kahr fits it pretty well, slight wiggle until you put it on... then it tightens up fine.

I'm not sure which holster you might be referring to, but I just tried my Kahr in 3 different 1911 holsters and it wouldn't fit any of them

That is one of the reason i sell my LC9. Its has a looooong trigger pull. Right now i'm carrying 1911 IWB.

I second this suggestion. Even with my pinky curled under the grip, I can shoot about as well as a full-sized grip.

The LC9 feels like a long trigger pull when you are playing with it in a shop. Once you start shooting it, it's fine. It's not a 1911, but for a tiny little carry piece, with the included laser, it's an excellent gun.

Another vote for the Kahr CW9. A jewel of a pocket pistol. My trigger was a bit gritty when it was new but got nice and smooth after a couple boxes of practice ammo. I rarely carry any other pistol anymore.
