A Kelty medium sized backpack (the hiking kind with waist support) can hold 1500 rounds (3 plastic Miwall ammo cans @ 500) for about 55lbs total carrying weight. I brought home 1000rds of 38spl reloads on my FZ6 and the backpack...

(a case of Federal 9mm factory in a cardboard box/etc. weighs about 37.5lbs for reference, those are easier to haul than 38spl)

Was I the only one that noticed that Coldwar had the 556's for 1749? Don't they list em on the website for 1399?

There were no sights on the guns I saw. I also asked if the model I had in my hands was the basic at 1749 the guy stated it was so I don't know..

Quite right, quite right...but 1,650 rounds of 9mm, some .22lr, various stuff, and my girlfriend would be an awful lot to haul--that's Goldwing territory! I was pretty banged up from the dirtbike class I'd taken the day before, too.

I do have a Ventura soft bag setup for 2 of my bikes, and I highly recommend their stuff if you do soft luggage. Kelty's more versatile though, it's true!
