    Cow palace report?

So how was it? Any nice S&W revolvers? Any accurate arms #5 powder?

The show is pretty good. 95% of the floor was filled. LOTS vendors with some sort of OLL (I think they are getting the message and there was no sign of Iggy). Coldwar is also there. I almost broke down and bought a Sig556. That thing is freaking sweet. Now that got to hold it, I will work more overtime to get that baby. There are also lots of handguns. Miwall had some Hodgon Powders, Win & Wolf primers, bullets, brass. Prices are ok. I spent about $400 with Miwall.

The show was definitely smaller than the last one they had. The aisles were spread pretty far apart and there were no vendors along one wall. A few of the usual vendors weren't present. Miwall drew the usual crowd around their booth. J&J Armory was there with lots of nice OLL stuff.

I went and got there around 1 PM.

Not the Cow Palace of 10 years ago. That was the last time had gone to a Cow Palace gun show.

Picked up my model 28 that cleared DROS.

Walked around and tried to get a deal on 2 guns from a dealer. S&W model 36 and Colt Cobra. Both were in 98% condition with no box or papers. They both would have been PPT type transactions.

I am probably going to regret not buying them.

Stopped in at the Roundup for the discussion regarding Cow Palace. Good presentation and good open discussion.

yeah it was OK, a number of the vendors weren't there this time and it was a little more sparse. Most notably I didn't see CCC Firearms represented but that stands to reason with Chuck being out, Willie probably had to work the store today and so on. I was really looking for that vendor who was in the middle back with all the 100000 books and he wasn't there, just a guy selling military manuals for too much $$$. There seemed to be a lot more rifle action this time and less old handgun action (lot of new semis around though). The guy who brings & sells all the Hogue grips was gone too, he usually has a lot of randomly good stuff (parts, supplies, etc.).

oh yeah, and one of the beef jerky guys got irate when I said no thank you (politely) to an offered sample.

My dog Sam got kicked out by a gun show mall ninja. That was exciting.

got there around 11am and hit miwall immediately.

seems the reloaded 223s sell out fast.

bought a few things i normally wouldnt get... lol. had to make up the bridge toll, the parking fee and the ... wait. the NRA signup fee kinda made up for it and i kinda feel better.

few out of state vendors. dont know if that's normal.

bought one of those custom made ear plugs... lol. nice pink and green color. we'll see how they work.

overall, not bad of a day...

wanna hit the big reno show next...

If you purchase the right lower and configure it correctly - you can own an AR in California. I suggest you read this:

I am not looking to build – but more like just buying one.

                            What do you think?? Thanks!

Hey hkfooey, nice running into you at the show. I think you were Miwall's first customer. Those ARs you saw with pistol grip and mags already have Bullet Buttons installed on them. The HK 45ACP had the Radlock mag lock already installed. The Sig556 was sweet and that too already had the Bullet Button installed. Those are all CA compliant.
