Shooting the Glock 18's like sleeping with a supermodel-fun in theory, but in reality control is a problem and the joy ends fast.

A range near me has a genuine Glock 18 for rental. Once I came in and every lane was full, so while I waited I watched one of the patrons shoot the G18. Their example has the stock attachment mounted to the frame and a foregrip on the accessory rail-and thank Jesus it did, because the first 15 rounds the guy fired went into the ceiling!

Mag 2 was much better and chewed out the center of the B27 target. Mag three fragged the rest of the target and that was that. $50 fired downrange in about 5 minutes. I haven't seen $ disappear that fast since I worked military finance in the Air Force.

Shot one at oaktree at the Hollywood sport shoot last year. The only thing more fun than full auto is full auto with someone else ammo for free.

Shot one at Glock Instructor training. It was not as uncontrollable as some describe. The entertaining part was when it got too hot to hold (there were a line of instructor students to shoot it), the Glock rep just dunked it in a bucket of water and handed it to the next student to reload and fire.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

                  That's awesome

I shot a G17 with an auto sear. I didn't find it all that hard to control. I was able to stay in about paper plate size group on a 17 round mag dump. You just have to punch out and lay into the pistol. It was a lot of fun!
