Pessimists. The gun show is a great place to stock up on plinking ammo, if you can navigate past the Confederate and Nazi paraphernalia.

Aside from reloads, are common calibers really any cheaper once fuel+admission is factored in? Last I checked, online Wolf was pretty competitive. Maybe its a good deal for other brands, but I usually stick with the cheap stuff for plinking.

No, at least not for pistol calibers. Every time I go to this show I plan on buying ammo and I always leave empty handed. Walmart still has the gun shows beat I think.

"Trinking ammo" would be a contraction of "trinket shooting ammo." Which is the stuff you use to shoot the glass plates, glasses, and tea cozy's that they try to sell at the gun show? You know, those "trinkets" that nobody EVER buys.

Can anybody in the Ventura/Oxnard area get me some ammo? I won't be back in town until 3/21 and 3/22, but would meet up with you to pick it up.

Want a half case (500) of 7.62x39mm. Wolf is usually the cheapest, but the other brand they carry (forget the name) is not much more I don't think, and cleaner too. Should be about $50 or so.

A few friends and I were going to try and get MiWall to give us a discount if we bought enough ammo, which made me realize that our chances would be much higher if all the Calgunners at the show banded together and tried for a group buy.

Think MiWall would give us 10-15% off if we bought $10,000 or so of ammo ?

If you're serious, you should start an exploratory thread some where people can post what they're looking for and in what quantities.
