can an EMP (electromagnetic-pulse) attack wipe out your eotech/aimpoint or any battery operated red dot sight? weaponlight/flashlight LED/incandecent?

    Yep.

You're worried about EMP, get one that either has no electronics - i.e., tritium- or fiber optic-based - or get one that runs on vacuum tubes.

It sure can. That's just one of many reasons to have good BUIS.

Or store the site in a Faraday Box. Safe's act as faraday boxes so long as the outside is made of metal and your site is not touching the metal wall from within.

You need to ground your safe if you want it to act like a Faraday Cage...

A Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40 Watt range will be unaffected by an EMP.

And as long as the optic does not have an IC (intergrated circuit) or microchip, it might continue to work after an EMP.

Nobody's worried about an EMP because it's difficult to do here. A person, or group with limited capabilities would use their resources to blow something on the ground, instead of trying to get a dirty bomb up high enough to create an EMP.

EMP won't effect any of my night vision stuff.

Well by your 1 mag 1 kill philosophy it won't really matter now will it?
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

So if I use a 'cold blooded' perk on my guns, will it prevent my electronic optics from being effected by an EMP, just like in the game?
