    1911 Full Going Auto

I have a 1911 that is going full auto on me when it is fired or is the slide stop is dropped. The hammer is following the slide and contacting the firing pin. I have changed the hammer, trigger, sear, and trigger springs. I used a Wilson Combat drop in trigger kit with no change. Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix. Additionally, If I am unable to repair the gun, is there a good gunsmith in Sacramento that can remedy the problem without leaving my gun in the shop for a year.
I don't see the glass as half full or half empty. I see a glass that is the incorrect size.

I don't know about one in Sac directly but there is/was a very good one in Woodland, but one listing I saw said they had closed?:

Inspect your disconnector. I suspect it is not engaging. Make double sure the 3 finger spring is installed correctly.

Damn, I bet a 1911 manfuctioning like that would be pretty insane to control. Good luck on the repair.

Someone recently posted a full rail RIA that was having the same issue even after a trigger job.

              Was that you?

                Please follow this advice.

Also - Do you have a Gold Cup with the steel trigger? If so, please ensure that the sear depressor and its spring are still in place.

Okay I will bite, are you sure the firing pin is not stuck? Also, did you try turning it off and then back on?

I had the same issue on my Para S16.. It was a bad sear spring. I guess I bent the darn thing somehow... Cheap easy fix but it took me a while to figure it out.

did somebody do a trigger job on it by chance?

Have you try adjusting the over-travel screw on the new trigger?
