Reviewing the video I don't see at any time the child/mother are in direct line of fire. Looks like the robber took the first shot if u watch the guy flinch.

The guy already has criminal intent, whats to stop him from leaving no witnesses? You choose to let the robber decide if you live or die... The guy choose to decide it for himself. A moral choice that we all pray we never have to make. No right or wrong... simply a choice.

he draws his gun on the armed suspect bringing on a shoot out, and he did this with a woman with child in the line of fire and just seems to have nothing in mind but shooting at the robber.. man, should have just let the money go, its not worth the saftey and lives of those others around him in that room.

This was a good shoot. All shots fired by good guy hit the bad guy. Nobody but the ARMED felon was injured. Case closed.

The woman with child was a little close but what can you do, The NRA guy was on top of the robber pretty quick and gave him little chance to do any damage. If he waited too long some good people might have been hurt or killed and then he would be blamed for being armed and not doing enough.

I'm all for the right to carry and such, but just cause you are trained and have a gun, and allowed, does not make every situation a right one to use it, I don't care if the woman with child was in another room its all to risky, and the suspect could have turned and aimed behind him shooting wildly and hit anyone, My point is the Guy may be trained and knows his aim, but that Suspect doesnt, another is that woman with child could have reacted different and run into the fire in a fit of panic wanting out, he is lucky so little happened and it turned out a sucess.

I think we can all take something from this, regardless of our opinions pro or con towards what happened in the video.

This was an excellent example of how fast a situation can escalate and every single one of us should watch the video (the unedited one, not the rock 'n roll version) with that in mind.

How do I put this...........

If you've got a CCW permit and/or own/carry a firearm for self-defense, watching this video should offer an opportunity to evaluate our opinions of what happened and how each of us would react given a similar situation.

Some would have taken the shot.

Some would not have taken the shot.

In my opinion, EVERYONE who owns a firearm for the purpose of self-defense should see this video simply in order to do a little self-evaluation of what they might have done.
