Not if the same thing happens again. In fact, at the end of the last last feeding frenzy, it was a lot easier to find ammo than components.

A lot , a whole lot of primers, powder and bullets dissapeared off the shelf at my usual spots yesterday. I'd be willing to bet a lot of people have caught the re-loading bug since 08.

I do find it irritating yet comical people actually waited for the election to buy. I bet the vendors are laughing all the way to the bank.

I stocked up a couple of years ago after the frenzy died down. Decided I would buy while the buying was good.

Can I help it if this was the point where I would normally make a bulk purchase, election or not? I'm below 500 rounds of 9mm...

Anyways, bought a couple cases this morning. Got a reasonable price at Palmetto @10.49/box for 9mm Blaser Brass.

Yes, you can blame me for helping start the "Great Ammo Shortage of 2012."

You knew when the election was going to be, you should have known by now what happened in '08. Now I wouldn't say your particular instance was panic buying like a lot of these people are doing(I'd make a purchase as well if I were under 500 rounds of 9mm), but it's not like you couldn't have bought more 9mm while you still had 1,000 rounds.

If the economy is so bad and so many people are out of jobs, where is everyone getting the money to buy all this ammo, again?

Good thing I buy ammo and reloading supplies throughout the year. I should open my own little store and make a bunch of money off the uneducated masses.

Went to my Local Walmart, all the reg, ammo is gone, 40MM,45MM,9MM,.223, and all .22LR , I bought the last 4 boxes of Bulk pack 100rds 9MM Fed. $19.47 per , the man behind got all upset w/ me after buying cause he wanted a box, LOL. Talking with the walmart employee, he was saying it was very crazy there after Obama got re-elected,

Yup. Could have, but didn't. Such is life.

I have a couple cases of 22LR and a bunch of 223 and 7.62x39, so the urgency just wasn't there. I figured that I could just shoot rifle, rimfire and shotgun while the market sorted itself out.

Anywho, I paid a fair price for pistol ammo - so I'm good for a while.

What I don't get; why would anyone have waited until AFTER Obama was elected?

If you hadn't acquired enough from the clear and multiple signs for multiple reasons (some having nothing to do with Obama) as to why you should have stocked up anyway, reasons that have existed for the past 10 years, and esepcially in the past 4, why would you ever have waited until now unless you just turned age 18 or 21 yesterday?

Do people really wait to prepare for an earthquake until after the ground stops shaking and their house has fallen down around them? Apparently so.

Well it really looks like I'm going to have to set up my reloading workshop. Good thing I'm all set with brass, primers and bullets. Got dies for .223, 9mm, .40/10mm, .303 Brit, 300 AAC Blackout, and 7.5 Swiss.

I know how I'm going to keep busy this winter.
