    Discreet online ammo delevery?

I'm looking to buy some ammo online but I would like to get it from someplace that will ship it in a normal box instead of one that says "ammo" on the side. My only delivery options are to my work or to my leasing office. As you can imagine I would prefer not to have the whole guns debate in either or those locations.

I'm not even sure if its legal to ship ammo that way since they're technically explosives? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also if that type of shipping can't be done that would be good to know as well.

When I have ammo shipped to my house it just has a blue sticker saying "ORM-D"
It has never said "ammo" on the side

Outside would probably require the label.

ETA some don't say 'cartridges' - and some have nothing but the ORM-D, no other text.

If it is ship UPS once it is ship you can have it held at the UPS hub for you to go pick it up. I think fedex might offer the same service. You need to have the tracking number though to do this. If they leave a notice on your door for delivery you have about 3-4 hours to call them to have them hold it instead of trying to keep delivering it the following days. If you go to the UPS/Fedex website they have more info on this.....I am in the same boat as you though.

          SGAmmo.com

They have always been good at being discreet. One little ORM-D sticker and that was it.

Your delivery guy knows when you are getting ammo. And it's not explosives.

            Trust me.

You may want to find a pmb.

Small box that weighs 40lbs is never discrete to my UPS driver.

"WTF is in here? Lead?" he asks

              "Yes"

Yep, and usually on the bottom of the box.

Your mom is still gonna wonder what's in the heavy box. Just let her know ahead of time; she'll appreciate your candor.

SG Ammo is about as discrete as you can get. As others have said, the delivery guy always knows whats inside. Last time I ordered a crate of 7.62 x 54R he commented that I must be getting low.

We use the ORM-D sticker on ammo shipments as required by law. Otherwise our boxes are just plain old brown cardboard with no gun markings.

They all ship it the same way...it has to be labeled ORM-D, and it has to say cartridges, small arms (not consumer commodity, consumer commodities are cosmetics, paints, aerosols, medicines, nail polish, etc). Shipping guidelines are per the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Just order your ammo from whoever you want to purchase it form, nobody is shipping bright yellow and green boxes with huge bold black typeface "THERE IS AMMUNITION IN THIS BOX". Buy it from a retailer and they ship everything INSIDE their box (Cabelas, BasPro). Buy it from an ammo dealer and its usually just a plain brown box.

Ammo, powder, primer, anything inbetween...I have it all shipped to work, lol

bill_k_lopez is right though, most every dealer will ship in a plain brown box (with ORM-D sticker). I've bought cases of ammo that were in the manufacture's box, but vendors choose to put that box that says CCI blah blah blah in a bigger plain brown box before shipping.
