    Double trigger, anyone like it?

The Elftmann Tactical Dual Enhancement Trigger combines the utility of a battle rifle trigger with accuracy-fostering characteristics of a designated-marksman rilfe in a single product.

Reminds me of paintball (as it should cause the inventor got the idea from paintball). I actually hate double triggers in paintball, doesn't feel comfortable for me, but I haven't actually tried it during a game. It might actually work better.

As for real guns, good idea? Probably doesn't work the same as paintball double triggers. What does everyone think?

I don't think they work the way you think they work in paintball. The lower trigger lightens the pull of the top one. Good for double-action guns. And reading the article, it makes it seem like this guy was onto something new. Lol, these types of triggers have been around before the guy was even alive.

Yea I know, the article explains the leverage difference causing a decreased trigger pull. I did read it before posting. Im asking what you think of it as a product and if it works as well as they advertise it.

I'm sure it works as advertised. But it's unnecessary in an AR. The stock trigger and action is not heavy enough to require such a setup. Nothing a good competition trigger can't do.

Additional leverage might make the pull seem lighter, but it will also make it longer. Looks like an answer in search of a question.

A good trigger doesn't need an extension to lower the pull weight. There use to be set triggers for ARs, you would push the trigger forward to set it otherwise it would act as a normal trigger. The standard match triggers are fine, you just have to pony up and pay for them.

what the hell. that is the dumbest thing I have ever seen

there are reasons for its use in paintball. exactly ZERO of those reasons apply to real firearms or the AR15

I had a opportunity to shoot a bolt action rifle equipped with double triggers. Just pressing the second trigger lightly fired the rifle. It was a nice setup. I don't remember the rifle brand but the rifle belonged to a retired Treasury agent so it was probably a LEO special.

Double triggers in paintball are really only very effective with electronic triggers. It lets you walk the trigger

Haha, Yea its more entertaining, but everyone on the other thread thinks you are supposed to walk the trigger like paintball. I dont think thats how its supposed to be used.

I think the centerfire forum gets a lot more action, I should have posted there I just thought this applied to all guns not just centerfires.

Well I think the other thread got derailed because someone didn't know as much as they thought they did about paintball guns. That aside, the double trigger with any real weight on the bull(in comparison to a modern paintball gun) is pointless, and it's not as if the AR has a trigger so heavy that you'd seriously need extra leverage.
