If it's 7.62x54r, old, corrosive, and unwanted, I'll take it.

If I were you I don't think I would advertise the fact that you dump oily waste.
Sorry should had added, I dispose of the cases only after draining the Biodegradable oil and saving the fluid for next time. Too expensive to be throwing out the Biodegradable Hyd fluid. Also a squirt of WD-40 will kill the primer, but it is not biodegradable.

      [edit] Biodegradable hydraulic fluids
Environmentally sensitive applications (e.g. farm tractors and marine dredging) may benefit from using biodegradable hydraulic fluids based upon rapeseed (Canola) vegetable oil when there is the risk of an oil spill from a ruptured oil line. Typically these oils are available as ISO 32, ISO 46, and ISO 68 specification oils. ASTM standards ASTM-D-6006, Guide for Assessing Biodegradability of Hydraulic Fluids and ASTM-D-6046, Standard Classification of Hydraulic Fluids for Environmental Impact are relevant.

We use it at work. Sure beats having to call NRC for a spill response when a hydraulic line on deck breaks. Even though our hoses are shielded it is still possible for some of our primary containments to spill the hydraulic. Our hydraulic tanks are 500 gallons

Most Countys have a Hazardous Waste disposal area. They take ammo, paint, old oil, solvents, etc.

Co Co County's is in Martinez.
