I don't expect a used gun to be in new condition. I do expect the gun to function as promised. I don't think it is too much to ask, that you get what was promised. If you even suspect something is wrong with the gun at least inform the potential buyer, and then the potential buyer can decide if they want to spend the extra to fix the issue.

Thank you for not competing with those of us that do purchase items on CG.

Since you asked...out of many many purchases in the Marketplace I have only bought 1 gun that's a POS. A member advertised it for his gunsmith/LGS. I paid immediately but took over 3 weeks to receive. Long story short, I should have backed out after no call backs and such. Shipped without a magazine that was promised and fails to feed and fails to eject all the f*****g time!!

Anyone want to buy a "Custom FAL"? Looks really bad@$$!! Note to self...Never buy something expensive you dont inspect first. Totally my fault.

Bought lots of handguns from CG and so far my experiences were all positive.

Most handgun brands/models such as Sig, HK, M&P, Glock, Walther, and so on are so reliable getting one that does not work is remote IMO.

Nothing wrong with buying used.. I only own 1 we from shop gun...

Out of the 6 I own AR/AK/870/17/700/GP100 or owned another 870/92/AR

God I turned into a gun slut

With 10k+ rounds thought them all and not a single FTF/FTE (besides my CMMG kit for my AR hated blazer/Remington bulk) used guns are no problem..

You just have to make an offer on the best one and know what to look at/for during inspection... Same thing if new from a shop you need to know the red flags and signs of a lemon or not up to spec firearm.. I youtube and google for a least 2 full days when buying a new firearm I'm not fully familiar with of even one I am to be sure I don't miss any major issues.. And to learn shat is a major issue or not.. Doesn't hit to know even after buying a gun to know what a later on issue is caused by or what it indicates is warn on your firearm..

Bought an Eotech 512 that had invisibility on the bottom and left hand side that was undisclosed upon purchase. Sent it to L3 for repair and came back perfect.

To be fair, it "worked", but the reticle wasnt fully visible in all areas of the window, so it didnt work "correctly".

Only bought 1 off of CG, but I've been involved in numerous PP sales. Never once had an issue, I always do a FTF though and feel like I can get a pretty good read on the seller. CG is nice in that we have the itrader here, if you're buying something spendy I suggest you utilize it. Beware of screaming deals and all that other common sense stuff and don't expect a BNIB firearm unless so advertised.

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I've bought probably 20 guns through this site and haven't been disappointed. Lot of Glocks...hard to hurt a brick.

Factory new guns will frequently have more issues then a used one that has already had the kinks worked out.

It really depends on who you buy it from.

Guns? Nope. All good or I already knew what I was getting.

Sights, scopes, rails, holsters, etc... now that's a different story. But that's also the way it goes. Sometimes ya win and sometimes ya lose. Take the good with the bad or don't play the game.
