On the strip.. It's called "the gun store" they have mp5, fa ak, m16, saw, tommy gun.. And that was the last time I was there a few years ago. It's pricey but fun.

          The Gun Store
2900 E. Tropicana Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89121
          (702) 454-1110
          Mon-Sun = 0900-1830 hrs

Facility is older and smaller than the rest.
          They rent pre-'86 transferable MGs.
They primarily cater towards the tourists (they have almost all the MG shoot ads) and treat all shooters as if they are novices who have never operated a firearm.

          American Shooters
3440 Arville Street. Las Vegas, NV 89102
          (702) 719-5000
          Mon-Sat = 0900-1900 hrs
          Sun = 1000-1800 hrs

Facility is newer (better lighting/ventilation/AC) and bigger (more shooting lanes) than The Gun Store.
          They rent pre-'86 transferable MGs.
They have better customer service than The Gun Store and if you seem competent with a firearm they won't babysit your every move (unlike The Gun Store).

          Battlefield Vegas
2771 Industrial Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89109
          (702) 566-1000
          Mon-Sun = 0930-1930 hrs

This is the newest facility and is the biggest (5 acres). Has an indoor firearm range and indoor airsoft field. They also have a 200 acre outdoor range (for shooting from vehicles). Force on force with simuntion is in the works.
They are a manufacturer, so they rent post-'86 MGs. Which gives them the widest selection of MGs for rent and they also rent DDs (for use at their 200 acre outdoor range).

          IMO...
If you can go to only one, go to Battlefield Vegas.

Avoid The Gun Store. My last trip through there was highly unpleasant. Too many people stuffed into the room, enough that it became a safety hazard, a serious McDonald's feel to the whole process, and disgustingly expensive.

I used to be a big fan of the place, but they are a victim of their own success.

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

Go to Guns and Ammo Garage

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

I second avoiding the Gun Store. They advertise the most, and hence the most popular with tourists. Way crowded and you might as well be watching them shoot their weapons...that's how "on top" of you they are.

                Haven't been to Battlefield...yet.

I have nothing but praise for my experiences at American Shooters!

+1 on avoiding the gun store

This is the newest place in town

Welcome to the best Las Vegas shooting range. Machine Guns Vegas is a full-throttle firearm adventure with both indoor and outdoor ranges!

Depending on how much you want to spend I heard they have private lane rentals with a lounge atmosphere. Never been there...even though I am in Vegas regularly for work. If you go let me know how it is...

                  Cheers
