No no. That quote is from the OP's first post, from what he was told by the 'guy at the store'. Any employee of mine who said that to a customer would find himself fired in a quick minute.

It wasnt Taurus but Braztech International. The gun I have is a Rossi, a subsidiary of Taurus...Trust me I did try but that is their policyComment

You call that Rock Island crap a real 1911? Thats like me buying Jordans in Korea...it looks like the real deal on paper but when you hold it in person you know better. Look mister "im gonna come on other folks thread and chastise instead of giving useful information." The point of me buying this gun was because it was on SALE at Turners for $300. Retail price is $360, so it was more of an investment if anything. Ive collected guns for 16 years, so of course a $300 revolver is not gonna make a dent in my personal arsenal..In case you didnt get it, its the principle of the matter. I already own everything else and so do my comrades.I compared this experience with the one I had after i spent $1600 on a DE, so obviously this has absolutely nothing to do with anything your talking about. Why would I put cheap ammo in a new gun? Are you serious? How about I put 5W-30 in my Chevy that has over 200,000 miles on it? Also, its a .357 not a .38, so why would I bother stuffing .38 shells in it when it cant handle the loads it was made to fire? By the way this is no way a swipe at Turners, but quality control with the manufacturer. I sent the Fiocchi shells along with the weapon to prove that I WAS NOT shooting cheap ammo such as Blazer which could easily be used as a reason for the defect. Please do not challenge my intellectWell. That was an....interesting, read.
Well, seeing how you don't actually have to USE two day shipping (it's a company policy, not a law), I'm not seeing the big deal here. And why would you pay $30 for a box of ammo? I can get $11 a box for LRN Priv Partizan .38SPL.
This is a cheap gun, use some cheap ammo. If you can afford $30 a box for ammo, buy a $500 gun and stop complaining.
You bought an INEXPENSIVE GUN: STUFF HAPPENS. Get over it dude!
And this?!?! Seriously? If you ARE serious, and want an inexpensive gun that DOES work, forgo a few range trips and buy a Rock Island Armory G.I. 1911. Even my local gun store that over inflate the price on everything has one of these things available for $399. Very reliable, and a bigger punch than a revolver, and a faster reload.
