    Frog Lube question

Once you put it on and go shooting with it how would you clean your gun? Do you just wipe away with no solvents or do you still do your normal cleaning with solvents?

Wipe away as much as you can with a towel then use more frog lube ..its a cleaner / lube which is kind of weird to get used to.

I wet a 2"x2" patch with the liquid and wipe it down, just like I used to do with Breakfree CLP. Use a m16 toothbrush to get in the corners.

Once you start using Frog Lube, do not use solvents again. Just keep on using Frog Lube. I will wipe down with a cloth after shooting, most of the build up will come right off. For tough spots, wet a patch with some FL and wipe it down. For the barrel, I just run a clean patch, then a FL patch, then a clean patch again. Have not had to use a brush since I switched over.

Frog lube is awesome. It is a superior lubricant that also absorbs the carbon while doing its job not effected. Simply wipe the existing frog lube/carbon mix off, and reapply. The stuff is magical

As stated above normal wipe down and clean with the FL when needed. If you apply it according to the directions in the beginning it is a breeze to clean. Almost everything just wipes right off.

Frog Lube is the business, but how many of you are actually detail stripping your firearms and actually heating treating the parts?

I've done the heating part the first 2 times I cleaned/treated the gun..leaving the paste/lube on for a good hour before wiping it down. Subsequent regular cleanings after range use, I don't even bother to heat them up anymore cuz the gunpowder and grime just wipes right off.

This is exactly what I did 2 times then just regular cleaning.

                            I have...and a rather involved/modified "seasoning" process at that :

Good deal, guys. In my case, I have stripped my 1911 down to the bare frame, every single part removed, and heat-treated the frame, slide and internal components 5 times so far, but with the bulk of the attention paid to the frame rails and slide.
