The first gun that I ever owned was a Model 24 in 22lr/410. It was a great rabbit gun and I had a blast with it.

Me, too!!!! Got it in 1962 from Sears and Roebuck. It was my most successful trade, also. I traded it for Purdey percussion side by side shotgun.

Waiting for the 308/12Ga

With the 20 gauge shotgun barrel the Savage 24 had rifle barrels chambered in: .22LR, .22 Mag, .222 Rem, 223 Rem., 22 Hornet, 357 Mag and 30-30.

On the .410 caliber shotgun barrel they made .22LR and .22 Mag rifle barrels.

With the 12 gauge shotgun barrel they chambered the rifle barrels in 22 Hornet, .222 Rem., .223 Rem., 30-30 and .308.

Anyone know where I can actually GET one of these? I guess walmarts in other states carry them, but I can't find one in southern california that carries them. The gun shop that I asked said they have them on order but doesn't know when they will come in.
