That's because there's not much difference between a room full of monkeys and a gun store counter. I hear more BS in one visit at the indoor range than I encountered in 4 years of military service.

The average gun buyer is a male with more money than brains, who buys their guns based on A) what they look like and B) their street cred among other gun owners. Sig has part B locked down, so its just a matter of tweaking part A to the whims of the morons with a lot of disposable income.

Face it-gun buyers who bother to research their purchases are rare. Most of 'em buy guns because it draws the oohs and ahs on the firing line, not because the weapon is actually practical.

Have you ever tried to sell an OD glock on Calguns? I have, and it sold in less than 5 minutes for an outragous price..

the demand is out there for "custom" looking guns. Most everyone was to be an individual and have something which is truly unique. Now, not every gun can be unique, but in this case they can be unusual and still nice looking.

I think the guy is a marketing genius to pick up on that and innovate the line a bit. They will still sell meat and potatoes, but now they will also sell 9 layer dip and bon bons.
