AFAIK if they (politniks) did this the majority of the military would probably either suddenly have problems mobilizing or would out-right mutiny. That comes from the personal beliefs of myself a quite a few of my friends who are ex-military.

First off I will not give them up with out a fight.

Second I believe the government will not try to take them away. They are sneakier than that.
First they will make them harder to buy. It will be declared the right to keep is not a right to buy. They will say that you can keep what you have but no more new gun sales to civilians. No private party sales either. So now you cannot sell what you have and cannot acquire more. Next they will not allow you to will them to your heirs. Should you die they will be required to be turned in. With in a few generations and in less than a 100 years the right to keep and bear arms will be a mute point. Freedom will cease to exist in the USA.

I won't give them up willingly. By the time they get around to me, they should be tired of shooting at old men who shoot back.

If I feel that I can get away with keeping my registered & known guns to use against the Feds after the 2A is nullified, I will do so.

If I feel that not surrendering my registered & known guns would result in my imprisonment or worse, I would turn them in. It's better to live & fight another day to inflict greater causalities then to pointlessly die without making yourself very expensive. I feel my life is worth at least 100 of the ones who are my enemy. I doubt I could get 100 kills by going out in a blaze of glory.

In the modern sensor filled world the best way to resist is to target the softer support personnel, rather then the heavily armed & armored military and police units. Sniping, bombing, sabotage, assassinations, etc can be very effective. Study the Vietnam era Phoenix Program & apply elements of it to the post 2A US resistance movement. Many VCI (Viet Cong Infrastructure which were political leaders & key personnel) were killed silently with a knife while in bed asleep in their Nipa palm huts. Some were killed with their wives asleep next to them undisturbed. The book: Good To Go by Harry Constance is worth reading, along with Marine Sniper by Carlos Hathcock & the many books about LURPs and Seals in Vietnam. They are very inspirational with what a determined armed person can accomplish.

The often used cliche about losing guns in a boating accident is laughable. Most guns in the US & almost all in CA are registered. They will not take a simple I don't have them anymore for an answer. They will have dentition camps for those who don't turn in their known guns. Most people will not last too long in a camp & will say or do anything, including ratting out their gun owning friends to get out.

Yes, they have in the past & will do so again. For a few examples Google: Bonus Army, Strike/Union Busting & Kent State. Read the book: The Stand the complete & uncut edition by Stephen King, to get a very realistic image of what the US Military will do to citizens in a nation wide crisis. An easy scenario for the Feds to suspend or nullify the 2A is a nation wide crisis or emergency. Remember with the military soldiers can be summarily executed for refusing to follow orders in times of "war". A few public executions will keep the rest in line & following any and all orders. They will also try to make sure that units or soldiers are not deployed in areas where their family members live.

LEOs will be given a simple choice: follow orders or lose your job & pension. Most likely times will be very tough economically when it comes time to outlaw citizens owning most guns in the US. Most LEOs have families to support, so the choice will be simple. It's easy to say you won't do something, but much harder to stick with your ideals when the chips are down. If things get really bad, all LEOs will be drafted into military MP units & fully subject to the UCMJ.

Modern weapons are banned for citizens. New made machine guns were banned for citizens on 5/19/1986 by Reagen. High wattage lasers were banned for citizens in the late 1970s to early 1980s.

No, because the Feds will use both the stick & the carrot approach to disarming citizens. The Feds will keep the economy bad & offer money or credits (fuel, food, etc) for guns and ammo. They will use overwhelming force on any that resist being disarmed. Gun ownership is not important enough to risk a long prison sentence or death for most gun owners.

In all seriousness, no politician has the stones or the political clout to make this a reality. NOBODY, not even the President would touch anything that would outlaw all guns.

Even Yee in his own delusional thoughts doesn't have the support to try this, never mind his little attempts at passing stupid laws that don't solve anything.
