    Poor misunderstood AK...

Was taking my anti terrorism training at work yesterday and they were giving examples...

And of course when gun/drug smuggling came into play..

The trusty ol AK 47 was the only gun to pop up.. Then pictures of African and Eastern kids popped up maybe sub 10 years old holding AKs. As they went on explaining how bad the gun trade black market and human trafficking were.. Almost wanted to take a picture or film it was so bad.. I'm super pro gun And AK now and almost wanted to hate the AK and felt like guns were evil.

I know the AK has always been the running of evil guns but I've never cared to notice till just recently after finally buying on but dam the AK does have a bad rap. So misunderstood..

Now I need to go buy another AK and it's all your fault!
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

It's a little know fact the 47 was first designed to be a sport/hunting rifle.

It first cost $1200 to produce, and could be accurate out to 1000 meters, but design changes and cost limitations morphed it into what it has become today.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

Assuming they changed the projectile and the original models weren't the 7.62x39..

I know enough people that have worked out in those parts of the world who have a very specific feeling about the AK rifles. It's the enemies rifle, it's shot back at them before or it's taken the lives of friends and teammates. They have every right to hate that system for what they've seen it do. I know a few who have gone past that feeling for them, and have began to appreciate it for what it is. The history and the ability of it is something they come to know and understand now.

I'm looking to get another one, I love the system but it can't go out with every shooting trip I do depending on who I'm with. I hope one day they can changes the views on the rifle, but I'm not confident it will ever happen.

+1 this. My friend is a ex ranger, and he loves the AK because the reliability and he appreciates it and it is his go to rifle. My other buddy who is still active in the cant stand them and hates the fact me and my ranger buddy have them and prefer them.

Yea but most military service members no offense are simpletons who take boot camp drills/training to hate all others not you to heart and are too easily modulated..

Like my cousins one army one marine.. Literally got into a fist fight argument because the marine started talking about how all other branches are lesser.. Simplistic mind sets made to break you to make you stronger some take too literal and live by the words missing the whole concept..

Again not insulting your ranger buddy.. But some people live too inside the box. And saying he probably hates them more from his superiors/buddys telling him to hate them for moral purposes than actually hating them because of the gun it self. But some cant break the 2 appart. So hell either be like most who can get over it and realize it wasn't the gun.. Or go on like a Vietnam vet screaming at the streets and living in the war after the war.

                            Huh?

That's not what the inventor of the AK 47 says ...

                              It's a "non-story"...

Guns are nothing more than "tools" no matter who uses them or where they're used.

Show me a gun that ever hurt anyone on its own..............
