    Free State here I come!!!!

I'm the type of guy that doesn't have so called "OMG" moments, but this morning my wife, mother in jaw and I were hanging out before going to the air show, and my wife brought up a recent article about new bull**** bans . They start in on a typical woman bash fest and then our of nowhere, she (wife) says we should move. The mother in law says "ok we let's take a road trip up there and check out some areas and make it happen!!!! Oregon, I can have standard mags and release right!?
OMG . Wife is high level state worker, MiL is a 30years experienced delivery Nurse. It's going to happen!

oregon is fast adopting Cali. laws I hope you dont ride dirt bikes or anything offroad they make you jump through some hoops to ride in Oregon.

the last true free state is Montana, brother if you can survive here you can survive anywhere. like Oregon we have no sales tax, we also have much much cheaper registration NO smog check and if your truck is over 10yrs old you can register it perm. as with trailers and dirt bikes. I have all mine listed perm. never have to deal with registration crap again. home owners taxes are reasonable about 5% of what I paid in Cali. maybe less.

I do miss the beach but it was worth it. I forgot to mention the Made in Montana gun law.

Question....if your wife is a high level state worker, she is really that quick to give up her pension and *possible* retirement at 55?? Jeez, to think she'd have to start over again would be a drag for me to do to my wife.

I wouldnt be looking at Oregon... Utah, Montana, Arizona are far better.

Montana House Bill 246, the Montana Firearms Freedom Act, was signed into law by Governor Brian Schweitzer on April 15, 2009, and became effective October 1, 2009. This legislation declares that certain firearms and firearms accessories manufactured, sold, and kept within the state of Montana are exempt from federal firearms laws, since they cannot be regulated as interstate commerce
Which is why many people build their own full auto firearms and silencers in Montana now.

I'll be voting with my tax dollars - bub-bye totalitarian swine.

                        Edit:
Apparently several states have a similar act. Including Arizona:

                              Oregon has state jobs too.

But yes, we are thinking Oregon because we have houses here we dont want to sell, so we would still be within driving distance. Other more private reasons too . Less taxes, not as hot, just less California bull crap to deal with. I'm stoked at the idea.
