Normal stuff. Rifling in the barrel causes the bullet to spin, it will continue to spin until it loses momentum or is forced to stop.Comment

Rotational and linear momentum are separate forces. If you halt the linear motion in a smooth enough fashion such as bouncing the bullet off the ice, it will still retain most of its rotational momentum. It helps that the bullets are spinning around 40,000 rpm.Comment
