    Air guns discussion

what happened to my earlier thread on bb gun use? I think some people may be interested in this topic as well. Reviews about pallet/bb guns models and modification, as well where to shoot them without any hassle that may occur after. I looked up my city ordinance and I think based on what is written below it is illegal to discharge an air gun, they list it as a firearm, which is crazy in my opinion.

I looked up the Drozd, Skif A3000, and Walhter P99 those are great, but loud, Crosman pro77 sounds quite at least on video.

Unfortunately, that is the way it is in many incorporated areas. No discharge of anything. It's a crying shame because that is the best part about airguns. Low power/low noise that you can shoot anytime you've got an extra 10 minutes....

If you want a great airgun source, look here:

Buy a high powered airsoft gun that uses green/red gas and is made out of metal. The ordinances that you provided do not say anything about plastic projectiles.http://cgi.ebay.com/WA-SCW3-LAPD-SWA...QQcmdZViewItem

i fired my brother's last weekend, something like this: http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=482

we were in an unicorporated area and i was amazed at how far the pellet/bb actually went and how it hit at such a distance.

if i lived in a city i'd be very happy with the restriction. given i live on 20 acres in an unincorporated area and its legal for me to shoot my .357, i may just buy one for fun.

I am thinking of getting a Crossman Pro 77, it seems quitest of all that I have heard, at least on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYNonTtS5uI

getting a good silencer would solve all this, but I am being told that air gun silencers are fake. I will probably end up cranking the stereo up in the garage and shooting a few rounds.

This is definitely the thing to get http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SJnhEX_aNQ

I like this one too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbCmtfuv1NU&NR=1

good point will use plastic then. I am at this point where I will just buy the bb gun. I never thought that it can be this much hassle even with a bb gun. My friends brother in Mission Viejo got his taken away, by police after firing 10 shots in his backyard and they have a large backyard. So they got another one now they shoot it in the garage with stereo on

Here some reviews I found on youTube

I am thinking going up Ortega highway towards Lake Elsinore and stopping somewhere there is a bunch of open space there, and very few people ever around. Will it be a problem? I saw people up there with bb guns few years back.

You're happy about rediculous gun laws that restrict responsible airgun shooters with large backyards trapped inside incorporated areas or shooters with ample backstopping?

My dad has a really good Gamo air rifle.
The weird thing is we've tested the gamo for sound vs. a .22/.410 over under using CB shorts and the .22 is actually quieter!
It helps that he owns twenty acres that butts up to a hill in east san diego.

speaking of the plastic air guns... I went to Walmart yesterday, I saw most of the stuff that looks like that, and it is not a joke , looks like a water gun, and they should fill it up with water, not to insult people. But they have good deals on bbs. They have soft plastic ones too. I hope it is not a crime to shoot those.

Does that include all their descendants in the US?

Just the kind of statement someone who has no idea what goes on outside of the US would make!

The US is pretty much unique with it's 2A right written into the constitution, where as "old world" countries and their colonies have restricted the ownership of firearms a very long time ago to prevent the poplulace from an uprising or revolution.

You don't know how lucky you are, since you were born with a right, people in many countries would love to have the same rights that you just inherited. It's not that people haven't got the B***s, once those rights are taken away, you won't get them back.
