Technically Sportsman sucks - Most of California has no Prohibition. I stopped buying from them about 10 years ago when they stopped selling anything to California. They can kiss my behind if they think I'm going to spend a dime on them again. Totally clueless. I've sent them chapter and verse on the law and they simply apologize for them being completely stupid and offer one of those stupid 10% discount coupons. I guess I could have bought shoes from them.

If California did not have all of the difficult gay laws they have, there would be no problem shipping stuff here. They are just covering their ***. They probably just figure it is not worth the trouble keeping track of all of the laws here. Move to a free state and you don't have to worry about it. I am personally going to be going back to Texas to live. California sucks.Comment

Even though they will ship to where I live, I stopped buying from Sportsman's Guide (& Midway, too) as they require a signature (at least for ammo) obtained by the common carrier (UPS/Fedex), instead of being able to just leave the merchandise at my residence.
For other vendors, UPS & Fedex already have my pre-approval to just leave any deliveries at my doorstep.

Sportsman's Guide does suck hard for people in the wrong area codes for ammo at least, I'd say 90 percent of their firearms section in a No ship to cali...
I also used buy a **** load of ammo from Sportsman's guide, especially for my M91/30 but now I buy my ammo through Ammo man since shipping is free and they have good pricesComment
