    Premium for serial numbers

Would you pay extra for a weapon that had a cool serial number. ie 666 , 69 , 1776 , your birthday etc? And if so how much ? Extra 100 200?
I have an item that has 666 as the serial number and someone wants it for that reason.. He wants me to tell him how much more I want over what it's worth ...

Sell it to him for whatever you can get out of him. He obviously wants that number bad so gouge him... Seriously, its only a #...

The only serial number I would pay more for would be a custom one I had made OR serial #1 on a collector’s piece.

The only way to find out how much more he's willing to pay, is to haggle with him. No one is going to be able to guess how much more he's willing to pay.

I have a custom 500 with my birthday as the serial number. Didn't cost extra, still cost a lot.

Yes I would pay extra for a special serial #. My mosin's serial is "888" but I didn't pay extra for it. Also almost got a AR lower with my birthday, just a little off =[

As for how much you should charge for it. How much is the firearm in question worth normally?

I'd pay $10-$25 IF, I had to have it.

The numbers don't mean anything to me, I've bought 6 packs of AR lowers and couldn't even tell you if they have sequential numbers.

One gun that I own is serial number 0004.

I think it's cool. I wouldn't want 666, but I have one 000300 that I think is kinda cool. Doubt it's worth more, but it's my baby, so it makes it even more special.

It would be really cool if a manufacturer was willing to presell certain serial numbers of a new model.

The AR lowers I bought from JD Machine have my initials and birthdate on one lower and my son's one the other lower.

Cost at the time was like $20 more for each.

My gun has never had a serial number.. I wonder if its lonely?

                            Did he suggest 1-200 more?

I belive the NM serial numberd milspecs retain the resale value a little better than the regular N numbers. And no it dosent mean national match! They just have better frame/slide fittment. At least i would be willing to pay 50-100 morefor a NM milspec springfield 1911
