Poll: Which Size Python Do You Prefer?

Lately I've spoken to a lot of people about Colt Pythons, my personal favorite are the 6 inch Pythons. But I've heard many others state they prefer the 4 or 8 inch versions. I'll let the results of this poll speak for itself.

i got chub for the 6"

the 4" is more practical but the 6" is just that perfect dimension

8" would be good for pistol hunting but i just pose, so the 6" works perfect for me and my Hollywood necessities

Saw an 8" in great condition at a gun show about a year ago. Almost bought it due to its sheer awesomeness.

I agree.

A 4" would be great for detective work or something like that. I think the 2" is just plain silly, I'd get a Ruger SP101 if I wanted something that short.

4" is the most practical for utility. 6" for serious target shooting.

The Python is built on the "I" frame while the King Cobra (KC) is built on the "V" frame.

The KC is based on the Trooper Mk V, while the Python is based on the Officer's Target Model.

Cosmetically the KC has a solid top rib, rather than vented, and the lower lug on the barrel is sloped to the rear, rather than cut parallel with the muzzle

The most important difference is that the KC action is powered by a coil spring as opposed to a V-shaped leaf spring...so the actions feel completely different
