There white - it's pretty obvious that they are the enemy.

What does knowing how to operate a video camera have to do with AK ammo blowing up?
You think they purposely put a bum round in there for him?
With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Having your face known to the enemy is the last of your concerns.

I think you guys missed what I was saying.

          1. I was saying that at the end the camera man said he didn't know how to turn it off. Not wanting to show anyone's face, he pointed the camera at the ground until someone could show him how to turn it off.

          2. As for not showing yourface, I was talking more about the recourse of the "public" back home who are less than hospitible to our soldiers and even less so to those who go there for money.

Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.

That was the worst vid ever. You can't even see what happened. Okay, the top cover flew off, how about a shot of the gun itself?

Soft primer = out of battery slamfire? I don't see how an AK could KB and not lose more than just the top cover...

Not just soft, but high primers too, unless the firing pin gets stuck in the bolt.
Does the AK have a design feature like the AR to protect against out-of-battery discharges caused by the firing pin being stuck in the bolt?

                    I talked about it before - and I don`t think it`s a big secret.
Before the invasion, U.S. intelligence services supplied Iraq with sabotaged 7,62x39. The ammo did exactly what it was supposed to do and rendered the AKs useless.
We had a couple of faulty cases of that ammo and it resulted in quite a few of broken down AKs.

Basically the ammo blew up in the chamber and seperated the casing... with remains of it being stuck. Some of the AKs could be fixed by our gunsmith.

If you guys know someone who was over there as a contractor, he probably has experienced it too... there obviously was a lot of bad ammo floating around.

I hope that sabotaged ammo doesn't find it's way back to friendly forces.

What side you think I was on?
...I might be German - but that doesn`t mean we always fight on the wrong side.
That ammo was induced before the war - and I`m pretty sure most of the faulty stuff has been sorted out by now.
