I like the paying in coins. That'll teach em. Lets get a flash mob of cgnnrs together and go into this Fudtastic shop and just buy random stuff with just coins.

Does anyone know who runs/owns this place? A name or direct contact info for them?

It is just a way to track the bills. If they turn out to be counterfeit (bank can detect) then they can track it to you.

Why? Do you think no one has told him that his policies are paranoid and idiotic in the past and that he'll change them? The place has been run like this for years with one idiotic report after another. Look up at the top of the forum, and use the google search option for targetmasters. You'll see a plethora of insane tales that are all true from this poorly operated shop/range. 2 hours to swipe a credit card and DROS a gun is not an exaggeration(doesn't happen to everyone, but it happens often enough). Same goes for the drivers license xerox when buying solvent and patches. The original text for the targetmasters help wanted ad on craigslist isn't there anymore, but you can read this thread for the gist of it http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=524063 and here is a fun piece of unnecessary paperwork that shows how far the owner is willing to trust his employees to get a 4473 and DROS done correctly http://www.targetmasterswest.com/upl...le_Tracker.pdf Want to know why they want a copy of your DL for everything? They think it'll stop prohibited people from buying knives and flashlights there http://www.targetmasterswest.com/Que...d_Answers.html Oh hey, FUD right on their homepage about legal handguns http://www.targetmasterswest.com/Home_Page.html

The owner is a professional tool. If for some reason you still care, I recall the owners name being Bill, and some google-fu seems to indicate his name is Bill Heskett. If anything I suspect he'll just kick you out of the place if you question any of his nonsense.

Exactly. They probably got hit with a bunch of counterfeit bills. By making copies of the bills and tying them to a sale they can use that in the following police report.

Photocopying the money is not illegal.

so what.i dont always pay for stuff with money i just got at the bank. sometimes i get money back in change from one place and spend it in another. how would i know if i was given a really good counterfeit and spent it somewhere else without knowing it was a fake. so lets say they do track a fake bill to me, what are they doing to do?? i did not make the bill and i did not know the bill was fake when i spent it so what crime am i guilty of?

Whats the oral test ? a swab or a quiz ? either way pretty dam weird
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Kinda weird you have to let them copy your Drivers license when purchasing cleaning supplies. How paronoid and stupid it that?

My answer is NO. I certainly don't want some $8 per hour under-achievers having my address and other personal information; with ID fraud being so rampant these days.

If that dangerous place spent as much time making sure people didn't shoot the dividers, ceiling etc.. lit, cleaned and ventilated place; they wouldn't have the Target "Disaster" nickname.

                      Why go there at all?

They may have been hit with counterfeit bills before. By copying the bills and noting who gave them to the store, they can then turn over that information to the Secret Service for further investigation.

For those who are unaware, if you deposit a counterfeit bill and the bank catches it, the amount of that bill is deducted from your account immediately. You have absolutely no recourse against the bank.

                              Likely an an anticounterfitting thing.

You aren't guilty of any crime. But the photocopy shows they came from you and you would be obligated to replace the fake bills with real ones.
