San Jose Show 26th-27th

The worst SJ show in this recent years in my opinion was the last August show. Same weekend with Cow Palace show, and a week before HUGE Reno show. Less than 1/3 of tables, needed no more than 10 minutes to go through.

Anyways, I go all SJ and SF shows when I physically can, and still thankful to have them going. Loss of San Mateo show is more than enough.

i`d rather go to the vallejo show february 9 & 10 at least miwall will be there and firearms as well.

Often overpriced, taxed and not much selection

Last time I went (September?) I bought quite a bit of ammo (for me) at decent prices. I must have bought about 400 rounds of Wolf/Golden Tiger and actually purchased some of what I think is 7.5 MAS.

Did you like the Tiger? I'm considering giving it a try.

It's a tough call, the Cow Palace and SJ shows are pretty weak to be honest but I don't know if it's inevitable to see SF bay area gun shows dissappear entirely or a valiant cause to keep attending even after you leave unhappy.

you cant compare the cow palace show to the sj show.if you`ve been to both recently you`d understand what i`m saying.

Hmm, I have. Unless you mean as of the year 2008, as opposed to the fall of 2007.

But I haven't skimmed the SF Chronicle lately. Has Gavin Newsome finally given up protesting each time there's an event at Cow Palace? Lately it seems he's busy pushing gangs and drugs division into uniforms to patrol Bay View.

I just got back from the show and it was a small affair (naturally). But from what I saw, at least the guns outnumbered the bags of jerky.

Not a whole lot of selling going on from what I could tell. Just a lot of fingerprints to wipe off (mine included).

I didn't see anything on my shopping list, but I did buy a $6 tube of Tetra Grease.

With parking at the fairgrounds and admission to the show, that grease cost you a lot more than $6!

I just got back. I got a few Dillon items, my kid got a bunch of nick nacks, I bought a Winchester 94 and my uncle bought a Springfield Trapdoor. We had a blast.

Umm, good luck with Load-X. That ammo squibbed in one of my guns at TM once. Had to pound out the bullet with a steel rod. Luckily the next round didn't chamber completely and the noob who was using my gun didn't understand why, so I was called over to take a look. Sure enough, there was a bullet stuck in the barrel just after the chamber. The next round couldn't chamber because the stuck bullet interfered with proper chambering of the next round. Yowch!

Parked down the street in front of the car wash and my buddy paid the entrance fee for me.

I did use about 4 gallons of gas to get there and back. But I try not to get hung up on fuel costs. It's just like the cost of ammo.
