It may not be a good idea to drive to the police station if you suspect being followed. I saw a video last year about an incident AZ where a citizen with an LTC had a tail and drove to the police station as you guys propose. Once the citizen parked the follower blocked in the victim's car,got out and initiated a confrontation on the spot with a knife, forcing the citizen to shoot in self defense right there in the parking lot.

Had the target not been armed things would have ended badly for him,and I suspect most California gun owners don't have the option of a legal permit to carry. What I did when visiting family in Illinois is to proceed directly home from the range, where accessing a loaded firearm isn't a legal liability. Yes, the bad guys know where you live, but if things devolve to violence you have a legal option to use a gun to defend yourself. In a no-carry zone, that's not the case in your vehicle.

Call 911 and continue to drive LEGALLY !! Describe your car, the car following you. Let the cops do thier job. DO NOT go home, pull a weapon etc. unless your life is in danger. You do not have to tell the cops what you have in your car, if they ask to search politely decline. DO NOT tell the 911 operator you have a gun in your car and will shoot the guy if he comes any closer. They can and will use that against you in court. Try to avais confrontation as much as possible.

I know this isn't "The Macho" thing to do. But it will keep you out of any more trouble.

That's when you grab the full auto mac10 from under the seat, turn the car, and hold the gun sideways while spraying said suspicious car (only near large crowd of innocent pedestrains of course).....Sorry, was having a moment... I would keep driving and avoid less private areas. If you continue to be followed, then I would call the police and continue driving, while being careful not to get stuck anywhere.

A few crazy Ivan's and LEGAL evasive maneuvers and I should be able to loose my tail. If he still follows he is a pro and I will be calling 911.

Pop open the front seat briefcase with the full-house Glock 20. Make a quick U turn and start following them. As you come up behind the PERP pull on a Ski mask.........while smiling....

I suppose the correct thing to do is not to go straight home, go somewhere else and call 911? But that would bring LEO all over while you're transporting guns, and I know alot aren't AR friendly.

This hasn't happened to me, but I would like to know what you would all do.
Drive as normal. Love that no permit or any other garbage is needed to carry loaded in you vehicle here.

I've heard the " right turns" thing beofre, and it never seemd very effective to me. Making a left is far harder, especially if you are setting someone up who you suspect is following you. Wait for the light until it's nearly red, going just far enough into the intersection to be legal for you to go once it goes red, but not enough room for the tial to enter the intersection legally.

I've actually been on the other side, where I happened to be behind someone for a good length of time. Twice, actually. The first they pulled over once we made like the 4th turn the same, I passed on by and continued to my house. The second time the person made the unfortunate decision to not only turn down my street (cul de sac, no exit on the other end) but then decided to pull over. Right in front of my house. I think I took like 5 years off that woman's life when I stopped too.
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

It is either left or right and it should actually be four turns. You just want to be heading in the same direction you started at. Hopefully they are not just looking for a parking spot, but that is for the PD to sort out.

Very true. If u are security minded a driving course would be good.

like many others already said, make a few turns, then if still behind me, call the police then just keep driving until cops make the stop on them.
