Funny. Mine bought me a gun for Valentine's Day this year. Then again, a few years ago, she was also the one who was smart enough to have a pizza delivered to my office for Valentine's Day. No work required. Lift lid, then eat. BEST WIFE EVER.

My buddy had the same problem, ONCE, they live in a semi-rural but very upscale area. Wife would not allow Firearms. So one of the neighbors, these are 1-5 acre places, goes to Europe and their meth monster kid moves in. Kid spends days doing drugs and then finds good ol Dads rifle and starts shooting up the neighborhood. My buddy is huddled in the upstairs with his dive knife, wife and kids waiting for the Sheriff.

It only took one scare and Wife came to Jesus. Nowadays they have a Raw, Shotgun and a few pistols.

I pretty much agree with everything already said in here. If this wife of his won't allow something, it's not really a marriage, it's more of jail sentence. Why the hell would anyone be with someone that runs your life? It's supposed to be a shared experience. Thankfully my wife understands this and doesn't try to stop me from doing whatever I want. The only thing she always says is, "Make sure we have enough to pay the bills after your buy that".
